Ganesh Himal Trekking

Ganesh Himal Trekking

Ganesh Himal is another popular trekking area in Nepal, located between the Langtang and Annapurna regions. The eastern part of the Ganesh Himal range is famous for the unique culture of ethnic Tamang group, and for spectacular views of mountains and colourful rhododendron forests. Although this region is less crowded than the Annapurna or Everest regions, it is much appreciated by walkers. Particularly in March and April, the hills and mountains are ablaze with rhododendron blossom, the national flower of Nepal.

Generally, trekking in the Ganesh Himal region is arranged for sighting of the fauna and flora, where you can enjoy diverse families of orchids and a variety of ferns. The valleys are set ablaze by yellow blossoms of double jasmine; the forest is dense with Spanish oak and blue pine. During the spring season, the rhododendrons bloom in such a way as to bewitch the trekker to visit time and again.
